01 Kits and lists

Forgot one thing, and it cost you the day?

Start from kits made for drag racing and keep a list for each car. Anything you're out of goes under Need to buy, so you catch it before you leave.

“If I'm lucky, I forget only one thing, and it's minor.”

Brett Becker, in his column “Ode to the Checklist” NASA Speed News, Aug 1, 2014

02 Crew

You said you were going to bring it!

When the plan lives in the group text, the trailer ends up with two floor jacks and no tire gauge. In DragDay each item shows who's bringing it, and everyone gets their own items on their phone.

03 On the road

Repacking a small trailer every morning of the week?

On a drag-and-drive week, reset the list from its menu each night, and Not taking keeps what stayed home off it. Each item can say where it rides in the trailer. Checking items off works with no signal, in the staging lanes or the hotel lot.

04 First time and tech

First time at the strip, and not sure what tech wants?

The first-timer kit is a short list of what to bring for the car, for you and for tech. Reset the list for the next race and the tech steps come back unchecked, so you check them again.

Check your track's and sanctioning body's rules.
